The attractions zone is designed for parents to discover what’s in their own backyard. It’s amazing how locals often take for granted the amazing attractions that exist around them. Attractions that cater for kids will be perfect at this event, especially ones that appeal directly to the kids – think live animals; interactive activities, and/or learning opportunities for kids that also promote your attraction. For example: museums, wildlife parks; ropes courses, and attractions that challenge the body and brain.

Go on a crazy scramble at the City of Launceston playground or say hello to Squirt the Dolphin from the Leisure & Aquatic Centre! Squirt is coming to meet you between 10am and 2pm. Take a peek beneath the surface and discover aquatic animals or find out more about things to see and do for kids in Launceston at our information stall.
Tasmania’s First Tree Ropes Course is now here! Spend 2 hours swinging, leaping and climbing through the pine trees of Hollybank! With 7 different levels and over 80 challenges, there’s something fun for the whole family. For 4yrs and up. Open 7 days a week.
Try out our specially designed zipline and soar across the floor of the Silverdome. Staff will harness you up and watch you fly over the stadium. There’s even a leap of faith at the end! This experience is for kids aged 8 years and over and parental permission must be provided. Single ride only.
The Tamar Valley is home to a range of kids activities - Tailrace park and the skynet, Kids Paradise and Tailrace Centre, Rose Bay Park at Gravelly Beach, fishing pontoons, several kid friendly walks at Tamar Island, Notely Gorge and West Head plus a range of attractions at Seahorse World, Glengarry Bush Maze, Platypus House, Grindelwald, Gem & Stone Creations and the Beaconsfield Mine and Heritage Centre.
We'll be offering several activities from the Beaconsfield Mine and Heritage Centre and also our Youth and Community team with Andy Beeston. We can also provide information on all fun and kid friendly activities in the West Tamar region!
